Normally closed 2 way direct acting brass solenoid valve supplied without solenoid coil, typically used with compressed air, petrol, diesel, other oil-based fluids.

Orifice (mm): 4.0
Pressure range(bar): Type 3 coil 0-4 bar or Type 4 coil 0-5 bar
Seal type: FPM
Supplied without coil: requires Type 3 or Type 4 coil
Connector type: Type 3 requires CNE small Type 4 requires CNE large

The 105 series is an established range of 2-way normally closed direct acting poppet type solenoid valves. The body is drilled and tapped to provide 1/8"G (BSP) inlet and outlet ports. This series features a hot-stamped brass body, with the option of brass or stainless-steel armature tube. The body may be optionally electro-less nickel plated. The moving and fixed armatures are made from magnetic stainless steel. The return spring is also produced from stainless steel.

The armature seal and armature tube O-rings can be supplied in a choice of material; Buna (NBR, nitrile), EPDM or FPM.

The maximum allowable pressure for most media is 50 bar, although the maximum pressure for steam is 2,5 bar (gauge pressure) as above this the temperature of the steam would exceed the maximum allowable temperature for the seals.

Orifice size from 1.0 mm to 4.0 mm, all the valves will operate from zero pressure; the smallest standard orifice of 1.2 mm allows the valve to operate up to 25 bar. Maximum operating pressure depends on the orifice size(larger orifice sizes reduce the maximum operating pressure), type of coil used and the use of AC or DC voltages.

Options (call Beta Valve sales office for details): Stainless steel armature tube
Electroless nickel plating
Series 7 explosion proof coil according to ATEX - EExmII
Manual override
Version for use with oxygen
UL certified coils

Two ranges of ACL's standard coils are compatible with the 105 series the Type 3 and Type 4, these coils offer a choice of standard direct current and operating voltages from 12V to 48V (DC) and 380V (AC). These coils are designed for continuous duty (100%ED) at the rated maximum ambient temperature.

ACL produce both class F and class H coils to fit the Series 105, these coils are continuously rated with ED=100%, when fitted with the Class F coils the ambient temperature range is: -10°C +55°C with class H coil the maximum ambient temperature is +80°C. These solenoid valves can be mounted in any position.

** Dependent on valve/coil combination chosen.
