Our general-purpose brass solenoid valves from ACL srl and Saturn Magnetic snc are suitable for a wide range of uses including air (pneumatics), oxygen, vacuum, water, light oils and neutral gases. We offer both 2 way and 3 way types with normally closed, normally open operation. For battery operation or other low-power applications 2-way types can be supplied in latching (bistable) versions. All types can be supplied with mains or low voltage solenoid coils. Solenoid valve coils can be supplied with VDE or UL approvals on selected voltages. Ex m and Ex d coils are also available.

Direct Acting Solenoid Valves
Beta Valve stock direct acting valves in sizes from M5 to 3/4" BSP. These proven all-metal poppet valves can operate over a pressure range from zero up to the valves maximum differential pressure (up to 26 bar depending on type). Available with port sizes from M5 to ¾" BSP our direct acting valves feature a compact physical in size (especially the D121 series of miniature solenoid valves) and fast response times of typically 8-25 ms (for air, 12-40 for liquids depending on viscosity) depending on valve type.
Optional features include: nickel plated body, stainless-steel seat (for steam) and manual override.
Assisted Lift Solenoid Valves
Available in sizes from 1/2"BSP to 1" BSP these normally closed 2 way solenoid valves combine the features of the direct acting valve and the servo assisted types. Like direct acting valves they are capable of operating at zero or very low pressure while offering the higher flow rates of servo assisted valves. The E108 series from ACL feature all-metal construction with FPM seals making them suitable for most common industrial fluids.
Servo-Assisted Solenoid Valves
Also known as pilot operated valves, servo-assisted solenoid valves offer the benefits of significantly lower cost and power consumption when compared with direct acting valves but are able to offer the same performance in terms of flow rate and maximum operating pressure. Because they require a minimum pressure to open the diaphragm servo-assisted valves are only suitable for use in situations where the inlet pressure is unlikely to fall below the minimum differential pressure quoted by the maker. For most sizes the ACL series E107 solenoid valves require a minimum differential pressure of only 0.1 bar making them usable in a wide range of fluid control applications. Maximum operating pressure is 10 - 15 bar (depending on size). The 107 series feature an all-metal construction with brass body and stainless steel armature tube. The 107 series is available with a wide choice of seal materials, the solenoid coil can be fitted with an IP65 DIN connector to provide environmental protection.The E207 series offer all the benefits of the normally-closed E107 series but with power to close operation.
As with all servo assisted solenoid valves the need for a small diameter equalisation hole in the diaphragm means that they are susceptible to dirt in the media so if this is likely to be an issue a filter should be fitted before the valve.
