The D109 is the DC (direct current) only version of the 109 series of 2-way normally closed direct acting poppet type solenoid valves. The D109 is produced without a shading ring making it unsuitable for use on AC voltages (for AC versions see the E109 series). This series features a hot-stamped brass body, with a choice of 3/8", 1/2" or 3/4" BSP (G) threaded ports. The armature tube is produced in stainless steel.
The moving and fixed armatures are made from magnetic stainless steel. The return spring is also produced from stainless steel.
The armature seal and armature tube o'rings can be supplied in a choice of material; NBR, EPDM or FPM.
The maximum allowable pressure for most media is 0.12 bar.**
For ease of integration into product design the these valves may be mounted in any orientation.

Two ranges of ACL's standard solenoid coils are compatible with the D109 series the Type 2 and Type 5, these coils are available in standard voltages from 12v to 48v DC. These coils are rated for continuous duty (100%ED).
ACL offer a choice of solenoid coil insulation class - class F coils which allow the valve to be used in an ambient temperature range of between -10°C +55°C and class H coils (standard for Type 5 coils) which increases the maximum ambient temperature to +80°C.
These coils are designed to be used with our CNE large electrical connectors, with the connector fitted they offer IP65 protection and IP00 without connector.
Orifice sizes are either 1.2 mm or 1.8 mm, all the valves will operate from zero pressure.
