8" PN16 flanged water meter suitable for industrial, agricultural and urban(municipal) water supply applications.

The Woltman Silver Turbo (WSTsb) water meters offers the following:

• The WSTsb has a wide flow-rate measuring range that enables to serve in a number of applications and in extreme situations (low flows and high flows)
• High degree of immunity to working conditions like vibrations and extreme humidity (even if dry chamber is full of water)
• The worm assy. is in a separate kit, which enable easy replacement if necessary
• Durability - Bearings and materials used in the WSTsb have been proved to ensure long life expectancy
• Magnetic Coupling - The WSTsb, like its predecessor, the Woltman Turbo meter - has a unique measuring unit, in which only one moving element in contact with water, and features repelling magnets installed in the impeller and the transmitting gear, instead of the attracting magnets installed in the WT
• The implementation of oil can and sliding bearing (SB) enables the WSTsb to have a better durability
• Compatibility - The WSTsb is stocked by Beta Valve with straight reading (no-electrical output) and EV (reed switch) output, other Arad electrical outputs are available to special order: EF, Dialog 3G, MPE, DPE etc.

  Water Meter with Electrical Output
  Designed for industrial, agricultural and urban(municipal) water supply applications that require more than just the traditional mechanical register of water meters. Arad Water Meters equipped with electrical output devices combine the high reliability of the hermetically sealed magnetically driven register with a wide variety of electrical output options. All existing Arad water meters with magnetic registers can be easily upgraded to include electrical output.

  Application Examples

  Remote Reading, In combination with a remote reading system or computerized data acquisition system, it is possible to collect and process water usage data in in multi-apartment house, in places with no access, or wherever it is required to bring all data to one point.

  Feeding electrical output to a batching controller enables pre-setting and delivering of accurate volumes of water in irrigation systems, industrial process etc.

  Reed Switch (EV) Sensor

  A magnet activates this sensor. It acts as a “Dry Contact “and does not consume electric power. This is the most suitable sensor for “VOLUME” measurement and in such applications its operating life is practically unlimited (ca. 100 million cycles). The maximum contact current is 50mA and maximum voltage is 48v.

  SINGLE REED-SWITCH - VOLUME OUTPUT

  A 3 pointer register with magnet installed on one of them. The reed switch sensor is installed in hermetically sealed transparent plastic cover that is mounted by the Arad factory in one of 3 positions facing the pointer with the magnet. The choice of 3 values of output is thus available in 1:10:100 ratios.

  The reed switch is attached to the meter dial cover by a bayonet fixing, this allows simple replacement of damaged reed switches in the field. This bayonet fixing also allows the electrical output to be installed retrospectively; simply install the electrical output version of the meter in the pipework but without its reed switch fitted, then “upgrade” the meter later by adding the reed switch when required.
