Originally designed for use in ice-makers produced by a major white goods manufacturer, the RF series of low-cost water flow sensors have now been in production for over twenty years.

  • Choice of four flow rate versions of the water flow sensors, so maximising accuracy in high and low flow rate applications.
  • Water flow sensors available with a range of connection styles and sizes, offering BSP, John Guest push-fit and hosetail available making it easy to connect to the water supply.
  • Hall effect and Reed switch output versons, allows easy connection of the water flow sensor to a counter/controller.
  • Cable or JST pin connection to simplify integration of the water flow sensor.
  • WRAS approved versions for use in potable water applications.
  • Flow sensor valve versions with the flow sensor integrated into a single unit with a solenoid valve or pressure regulator to minimise space requirements and assembly time.
  • The water flow sensor can be built into a modular custommanifold using RPE's Series R Universal series.

The RF series of water flow sensors are available in four flow-rate models: 0.-3.6, 0.5-7, 1-15 and 5-30 litres/min to maximise accuracy in the required flow rate range. Depending on flow version these flow sensors give between 310 and 2750 pulses per litre of water, this allows them to be used for flow rate and volume measurement.

To simplify their addition to new or existing products the RF series flow sensors are available in a wide range of body styles with BSP, John Guest push-fit and hosetail connection. Electrically there is a choice of reed switch volt free contact or hall effect sensor with open collector NPN output. Signal output is either via cable or terminal pin connections compatible with a JST style connector.

The RF series water flow sensors can also be supplied integrated with either a solenoid valve or pressure regulator, this not only reduces assembly time, but also reduces the overall space requirements and minimises the number of fittings required and possible leak paths.

Applications

Frappuccino coffee maker, this machine was directly feed from the mains water supply. By using a food-grade version of the flow sensor our customers was able accurately dispense drinks even when the water supply pressure varied wildly.. Prepaid water supply for recreational boat users; using a flow sensor valve, consisting of a water flow sensor integrated with a solenoid valve in a single body, access to potable water is restricted to authorised users with a pre-paid smart card.

  • Washing and dishwashing machines
  • Refrigerators
  • Ice machines
  • Water dispensers
  • Industrial ovens
  • Water and sanitary installations
  • Hydromassage plants
  • Irrigation systems
  • Tank filling
  • Taps
  • And many more......

A Supplier You Can Trust

With over 35 year's experience in the supply of solenoid valves and other fluid control products Beta Valve Systems can supply products from some of Europe's leading component manufacturers to meet your requirements in the areas solenoid valves, water meters, water filtration and pipe fittings.

Since 1991 we have produced our own range of solenoid valves which have been used in applications such as drinks vending industry, gas analysers, floor washers and hydroponics.

We place our customers at the centre of everything we do and strive to provide the highest quality products and service. We offer full technical support, from providing product datasheets straight from our website, to expert technical advice by email, phone or personal visit. Close ties with the manufacturers gives us direct access to our suppliers technical staff too.
