Data Sheet/Certifications:

In order to provide an increasingly complete service to meet market demands, ACL further extends its product range by making available to Customers two new series of 2-way Normally Closed valves assisted-lift diaphragm with Brass body (series 168) and Stainless Steel 316 body (series 178). The need to obtain ever more efficient performances with limited power consumption, a requirement which is increasingly required by the market, has led ACL to design the new series of valves 168 and 178, precisely to achieve this result. Among the many advantages that these valves offer, in fact, there is the possibility of installing different types of coils which offer limited wattages compared to the valves already existing on the market and all achieved without limiting the performances (but, indeed, improving them). The availability of these valves in sizes from 3/8” with the extension up to 1-1/2”, allows the control of larger flow rates than those proposed up to yesterday by the ACL range. Further, with the Stainless Steel 316 version, there is the additional advantage of being able to manage even the most aggressive and corrosive fluids, as well as being suitable for saline environments.

The primary feature of these valves is, without doubt, the possibility of managing large flow rates without having the need for a minimum differential pressure for opening the main orifice. The partial opening of the main orifice is also obtained with a minimum differential of 0 bar and this is made possible thanks to the mechanical coupling between the diaphragm and the plunger, otherwise called “assisted-lift diaphragm”. The use of the reinforced membrane (available in Viton and, on request, in NBR) also allows to reach pressures up to 16 bar in addition to a longer life cycle. The ability to use coils with limited power consumption, without affecting the performances, offers an additional advantage. The three different coils available in fact operate on power consumption of 10, 14 and 27 Watts depending on the selected size.

Options (call or email Beta Valve Sales Office for details):

The series 168 and 178 can be requested with options for use with industrial oxygen, on vacuum applications or with chemically nickel-plated body (only in the brass version). On request, it is also possible to install the Atex Ex d / Ex tb coil certified for hazardous areas Please contact Beta's sales office for pricing and availability.
