ATEX complient solenoid valve for use in hazardous areas

Beta offer three categories of valves for hazardous areas that comply with the ATEX directive for electrical equipment used in a potentially explosive atmosphere:

Improved safety - EEx m
Explosion proof - EEx d
Intrinsically safe - EEx I

Improved Safety

EEx m II T4

Our improved safety valves make use of ACL's type 7 coil, which is approved to standard Ex m II T4 for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. The Type 7 coil can be fitted to most of our brass and stainless steel 2-way and 3-way 1/8" direct acting valves and our servo-assisted solenoid valves up to 1".

Beta's explosion proof valves use the Type 96 operator; this is compatible with a range of brass and stainless steel solenoid valves.

Intrinsically Safe

EEx ia IIC T6

Beta can offer the complete Crouzet range of intrinsically safe miniature solenoid valves and approved connectors and sub-bases.The 3/2 solenoid valves can be used with Crouzet's matching miniature power valves. These are available in 3/2 and 4/2 monostable form and as slide valves in 4/2 bistable and 4/2 monostable spring-return configurations. Datasheet (valves only)
